The Ministry of Finance has updated the government debt management strategy due to changes in the operating environment of debt management. According to the Ministry of Finance, the updates to the strategy are aimed at reducing debt management risks and simplifying operations. Average fixing of central government debt will be lengthened moderately, by approximately two years, during the strategy period 2024–2028. This will be achieved under the existing borrowing strategy by no longer entering into new interest rate derivatives.
