Fitch Ratings downgraded Finland’s credit rating to ‘AA’, revised outlook to stable

The credit rating agency Fitch Ratings downgraded Finland’s long-term sovereign credit rating to ‘AA’ on 25 July 2025. At the same time, Fitch revised the outlook on the rating from negative to stable.

The last time Fitch changed the outlook on Finland’s rating was in August 2024. At that time, Fitch affirmed Finland’s credit rating at ‘AA+’ but revised the outlook from stable to negative.
