Teppo Koivisto appointed Chairman of the OECD Working Party on Public Debt Management  (2013-11-04)

Director of Finance of the State Treasury Teppo Koivisto has been appointed Chairman of the OECD Working Party on Public Debt Management for the 2014–2015 term.

Koivisto was confirmed as chairman in the Working Party meeting in Paris on 31 October.

The Working Party is a forum for discussing government debt management principles and practices. In the meetings, government debt managers also exchange their views on other policies which influence debt management, such as development of the securities markets as well as regulation and supervision.

The Working Party, set up in 1979, seeks to formulate and promote OECD-wide best practices where possible and relevant. The Working Party’s knowledge is of great importance for the debt managers from emerging economies when they design and implement their policies in this area.
